We had such a wonderful first visit to Garden View Village. Our lovely senior friend, Dianne, was waiting with open arms when we arrived. She was so excited to meet all of us! We had our snack, and then created cloud art based on our idea, "Peace is... looking for animals in the clouds".
When we finished our art, we went on a tour upstairs to see more of the building. We were really respectful of this being other people's home, and loved looking at all of the displays our senior friends had outside their rooms. Marshall's mom then read us a story about peace before we went downstairs to meet everyone at coffee time. We brought a lot of smiles to the faces of our senior friends at the table, and we enjoyed talking to them about our art.
We even had a little family reunion! Thelma was so excited to see one of her grandchildren!
We had a great time and are already excited about our next visit!
