Creations and stories!

We have had so much fun creating in our classroom!

Mrs. Keiver, our aboriginal support worker at Marysville, loves reading stories with the Kindergarten students, and will be reading lots with them over the year. When she came to get us for our story today, she surprised us with a beautiful wood bench that her dad built for us to enjoy at school! The kids helped hull it out of the garden to the tree, and enjoyed listening to the story from there. The story today was called, "Brown Eagle, Brown Eagle, What do you see?" Ask your child if they remember any of the items we learned about in the story!

Our class also enjoyed a story called, "Chrysanthemum", read by our school counsellor, Mrs. Stephenson. We learned all about 'heart smoothers' and 'heart crushers'. We all committed to being 'heart smoothers'. Ask your child to explain more :)

Another wonderful day to be in Kindergarten!
