Agriculture in the Classroom!

Jenna Beckley from Three Bar Ranch came to talk to us about the animals at her ranch. She has 3500 animals! Ask your child what animals she told us she has on her ranch and what she grows in her garden. She told us some of her animal's names (ask your child about her names for her sheep and pigs!). Mrs. Burgess learned that a baby turkey is called a poult. Mrs. Beckley also told us about the haying process. She told us about the seeder, hopper, fertilizer, wheel line for irrigation, swather and rake. We then got to see a variety of eggs, which we loved! Ask us how many chicken eggs would fit inside of a goose egg! The tiniest egg we saw was a quail egg and the largest egg was saw was an emu egg!
