Pink Shirt Day

We finished off a fun-filled, busy week with Pink Shirt Day! We learned that we wear pink shirts to show support for anti-bullying efforts across Canada. We really are impressed with what an incredibly supportive and caring group of students we have at Marysville Elementary. It was great to see the sea of pink today!

We attended an amazing anti-bullying assembly, where we watched an awesome performance by the Grade 3's singing True Colours.

We combined our anti-bullying assembly with our Jump Rope for Heart kickoff. We had the pleasure of watching McKim's skipping club come to perform- they were incredible! They really pumped us up about practising our own skipping. Ask your child about their favourite skipping "trick".

The assembly ended with the grade 2's performing their dance to Cotton Eyed Joe. The grade 3's and kids from McKim also joined them, which was so cool for us to watch!

If you are interested in more pictures from the assembly, Mrs. Hammond created this slideshow that you can check out!
